Naz cut his first fade at Grossmont Center in La Mesa. Built a clientele strong enough that when he moved twenty miles west to Ocean Beach, his day-ones followed. That's the only resume that matters.

Today Uppercuts is the first Black-owned barbershop on Newport Ave — four barbers sharing one floor, each booking direct. “Another KO” is Naz's caption on a clean line-up. The boxing register isn't decoration. It's the culture.
